Common questions
- What is the flat-rate limit?
- Six million dinars of turnover in a calendar year. The proposal to raise it to eight million was not adopted in the August 2026 amendments, so the limit stays where it is.
- What happens if I go over?
- You lose the flat-rate regime and are taxed on actual income, with books to keep. That is why you want to see the line before you reach it, not after.
- What counts toward turnover?
- What you invoiced in the year, by the date of the invoice, not what has been paid to you yet. Proforma invoices do not count, because they are not turnover.
- What is the 8 million limit for?
- It is the threshold for entering the VAT system. It is measured over any 12 consecutive months, not the calendar year, so the figures here are only an approximation.
